The League
We are offering tiered divisions to allow players to play at their level of competition with Men’s and Coed divisions on set days of play. The Simcoe Women’s Ball Hockey League offers a league on Wednesday evenings at East Bayfield.
Adult Divisions
We are offering Open (Tier 1& 2), C (Tier 3), D (High A -Tier 4), D (Low B-Tier 4), E (Tier 5) and Masters (O35). A Co-ed ball hockey division is being offered and teams must have a minimum of 6 males and 4 females registered.
All of the games will be played at City of Barrie arenas and will start in April with the spring league and leagues will offer a 12 game season plus playoffs.
The leagues are open to all skill levels who are 18 years of age and over. The winners of the league will go on to compete at the Ontario Championships against other leagues in the province. Provincial champions advance to national events, and the top players are scouted for Team Canada for World Championship play.
Youth division
Are set by age and will be coed, U8-2015/16 (Tyke), U10-2013/14 (Novice), U12-2011/12 (Atom), U14-2009/10 (Peewee), U16-2007/08 (Bantam) and U18-2005/06 (Junior).
All of the games will be played at City of Barrie arenas and will start in April with the spring league and leagues will offer a 11 game season including playoffs.
The leagues are open to all skill levels who are between the ages of 6-18 years of age. The league will also be competing at the OBHA Provincial Championships and appointing coaches and team staff for each of our clubs representing the league competing at the Ontario Championships against other leagues in the province.
We may also participate at the CanAmerican Junior Championships which is the main scouting sessions for Junior Team Canada for World Championship play in 2024.
Our divisions are set up in groups of 8 so will create a waiting list upon registering the first eight teams in each division, but will operate a division with a minimum of 6 teams
