Text Summary
Great start to the game for the Weston Alumni. It's a great feeling to have a full bench and the Alumni applied all the pressure in the first 5 minutes, but MVP goalie Andrew Smith, makes some great saves and it proves to help the Falco Steelers. I know the Steelers were rested up, and the layoff may have been the reason for the sluggish start, but they score 2 goals 1 minute apart mid way through the 1st period, and took a 2-0 lead. Just as the Steelers got comfortable, the Alumni took a time-out, and stormed back scoring 2 of their own, tieing the game at 2-2.
However, not long after the game was tied, Franco Andreacchi scores the game winner, and the Steelers would put 2 more in the empty net and take game 1, 5-2. Physical game on both parts, but Alumni need to keep their compsure and stay out of the box. Steelers PP not working on all cylinders right now, but if the Alumni want to test it out in game 2, they're gonna be in for some big trouble.
