Titans Upset Ducks

The Titans with two goals from Ryan Bath and single markers from Lucas Ross and Luke Charlebois upset the first place Ducks in the Tuesday August 1st semi-finals of the Penetang and District Ball Hockey League by a 4-1 score to advance to the Championship game. The Ducks who went undefeated in the regular season could only solve Titans goaltender Ben Desroches on a shot by Jacob Robitaille will now play in the Consolation final.

In the second semi-final, the Jets with a three goal first period outburst hung on to get past the Flyers by a 3-2 score.  Scoring for the Jets were Liam St. Amant, Luke Foley and Jack Scanlan, while Tanner Crumbie and Ryan Flahive scored second period goals for the Flyers.

The league wraps up play on Tuesday August 8 at the Penetanguishene Memorial Community Centre with the Consolation final between the Ducks and Flyers slated for 7:00 pm and the Championship game between the Jets and Titans scheduled at 8:00 pm.

Spectators are welcome and admission is free.
