Bantam-Junior Semi-Finals

The Bantam-Junior Semi-Finals played on Wednesday June 15 showcased the divisions talent in two 1 goal finishes.

In the first semi-final the Knights edged the Crusaders 3-2 with the Knights jumping to a 3-0 lead on goals from Owen Fuller, Kyle Robillard and Steven MacIntosh.  The Crusaders battled back with goals from Alexander Czapla and Drew Robson but could not beat Knights netminder Ben Desroches to even the score in the dying seconds with a man advantage and their goaltender pulled.

In the night-cap, the Triple Tech Raiders edged the Triple Tech Destroyers 5-4 in a shoot out on a goal by Trent Leonard.  The Raiders led the game early on goals from Leonard and Aidan Gravel before the Destroyers Eli Lafond and Elliot deMunnick scored to tie the game.  deMunnick's goal came with just 12 seconds remaining in regulation time to force overtime.

In the overtime neither team could beat the two goaltenders, Jacob Gillespie for the Destroyers and Colten Drillen-Roach of the Raiders.

In the shoot out Luke Charlebois, Isaac Larmand and Leonard scored for the Raiders while Jack Thor and Tyler LeMesurier replied for the Destroyers.

The Finals are now set for Wednesday June 22nd at the Penetanguishene Arena.

At 7:30 pm the Crusaders will face-off against the Destroyers for the Consolation crown followed at 8:40 pm with the Raiders and Knights battling for the Championshiip.
