Handy scores three in win
Rachel Handy scored three times, including the overtime winner as the Comets edged the Sharks 4 - 3 in the Girls U18 'A' Championship on Tuesday June 17 at the Penetanguishene Arena. Hallie York scored the other Comets goals with Mackenzie Blais (2 goals) and Christa Handa (1) for the Sharks.
The Phantoms got past the Wolverines 3 -2 in the 'B' Championship on single goals from Mikaela Poole, Shelby Snowden and Niki Whiteside. Karyann St. Amour scored both Wolverine markers.
Four goals by Laura Karlowski helped the Badgers to a 7 to 3 win over a short staffed Bruins squad in the 'C' Championship. Lauren Archer, Anneli Desroches and Hazel Goodman rounded out the Badger scoring with one goal each. Miranda Hughes scored all three goals for the Bruins.
