Text Summary
WOW!! Great finals!!
Wheat Kings take Turtles to OT both games, but the continued pressure from the Turtles, and the spectacular play in goal by playoff MVP, Devon DiPucchio, was just too much for the Wheat Kings. The first period saw a scorless game, but great back and forth action. The intensity was high, and there were no friendly gestures, it was all business. Turtles open the scoring fast in the second period, Fortin scoring just 44 seconds in to take the lead 1-0. But John Rondeau answers back for the Wheat Kings, just 1:26 later. The seocnd period would come to an end, both teams tied 1-1, and heading into OT for the second time. Both goalies look exhausted as they stand on their heads all game long. But Marc Zanette, didnt feel like waiting long to hoist the Tier 3 cup, as he scores just 46 seconds into OT by knocking it out of mid-air!!
Turtles win 2-1, take the T3 Championship, and now head to the Provincial Championships!! Congrats to the Turtles, and good luck at the Ontario Championships!!
