Text Summary
After finishing the season off playing the last game of the season, these 2 teams let each other know the series was going to be tough. Both goalies played amazing and kept each of their respective teams in the game. With no scoring in the first, Miguel Pavao opened the scoring in the second period. The loud cheer off the Jaguars bench gave us a sign of things to come. However Turab would hold the fort for the Flyers, and with 3:20 left in regulation, Chris Difonzo would tie it up after converting a beautiful pass from Stanley Iuglio. It was then off to overtime.
Some excellent scoring chances for both teams in the extra frame were turned away by great goaltending and some great defensive play. When it seemed that the shootout would be needed to decided the winner, with just 19 seconds remaining Jerry Tagliarino would squeeze one by the Jags goalie on a wraparound, and send the Flyers bench in a frenzy.
The series continues next Monday, and it sure will be a good one......
