Flyers 2024 Men's Champions

The Flyers with two power play goals by Isaac Larmarnd overcame a 3-2 deficit to get past the Jets 4-3 in overtime and capture the 2024 Penetang and District Ball Hockey League Championship on Tuesday August 6th at the Penetanguishene Memorial Community Centre. 

Larmand scored the tying goal with only 36 seconds remaining in regulation time and then an overtime goal 9 minutes and 5 seconds into the first overtime period.  Both goals were on the power play with Larmand hammering home two one timers from the face-off circle.  Brad Payne scored the other two Flyer markers.  Brandon LeMesurier, Kylar Watson and Jack Scanlan scored for the Jets who led three times in the game, 1-0, 2-1 and 3-2 but could not hold onto the leads before eventually dropping the contest to the Flyers.

Both Chirs Vaillancourt in the Flyers goal and Brandon Lafond in the Jets net were outstanding throughout the contest making a number of key saves.

The Flyers Championship roster was composed of:  Chris Brech, Brody Coe, Mitchell Cote,  Tanner Crumbie, Elliot deMunnik, Ryan Flahive, Isaac Larmand, Spencer Lefaive, David Marshall, Pat McCarron, Jon Nestorovic, Brad Payne, Neil Rosie, Nathan Schaap, Jamie Stewart and Chris Vaillancourt.  Cameron Robitaille was a big contributor for the team until moving out of the area in late June.
