Knights Capture Bantam-Junior Title

The Bantam-Junior Division of the Penetang Midland Minor Ball Hockey League concluded play on Wednesday June 22 at the Penetanguishene arena with the Knights taking home the Championship with a 3-2 shoot-out win over the Triple Tech Raiders.

The league's two top team battled to a 2-2 regulation time saw-off then playing five minutes of scoreless overtime before Brody Coe of the Knights scored the only shoot-out goal giving his team the victory.

Carter Weissflog and Kyle Robillard scored one goal each for the Knights while Kevin Pearson and Tyson Tarvydas replied for the Raiders.

In the Consolation final the Triple Tech Destroyers got past the Crusaders by an 8-2 score.  Eli Lafond, Jack Thor and Finn Price each scored two goals for the Destroyers while Curtis Warren and Tyler LeMesurier added single markers.  Caiden Pattenden netted both goales for the Crusaders.

The players would like to thank coaches:  Mark Fuller and Paul Jagos of the Knights, Chris Larmand and Adam Schaap of the Raiders, Taylor Cascagnette, Mark Cairncross and Brad Price of the Destroyers and John Eplett and Richard Czapla from the Crusaders for there effort and leadership throughout the season.
