Presidents Message

Week three is complete with great sucess thanks to everyone.

We have moved a few players around to balance the teams. We feel they are all closely competitive now. 

Our coaches select a player of the game every week which we give out Sports Awards to for the most sportsman of the game. A player that has shown sportsmanship either through quick line changes, respecting team mates and their opponents, refs, coaches, etc.

We hand out "Sports Award" certificates that has the Presidents and Coaches signature on it as well as the Players name. These can be framed and put on the wall or dresser.

We also give out coupons with discounts at local businesses.

This week, May 3rd games were sponsored by East Side Mario's with a $15 gift certificate.

CONGRADULATIONS

We handed out National Sports coupons to every player last week. These are for $10 off purchases over $40.

Each time you go into National Sports they scan the back of the card and 5% of your purchase goes to our league. This will go towards the banquet or other stuff. We will hand out more cards again so you can pass them to friends and relatives.

We have a poster board in in the glass showcase in the lobby at the rink displaying standings and up to date information as well as the schedule. 

We will hopefully have our team jerseys for our May 10th games.

We will be having a year end playoffs, skills competion, banquet on the same day. We will decide on the best day asap. July 1st is the holiday weekend so we are not going to meet that day.

We are looking at putting together a banquet committee so if anyone would like to help, please send us your interest to our email address at  ptboballhockey@nexicom.net  asap. Attention Guye

We are also planning to take as many pictures as possable to make up a year book, slide show presentation, web site etc. Matt Greber whe is our registrar is also our photographer. He could use some help as well so if you are interested in helping him please send him a message to our email ATT: Matt. Also if parents want to take pictures and send a copy to Matt please do so through our email as well, the more the better.

We could use lots of prices and stuff for our banquet and skills competition, etc.

We are hoping to send two teams to Provincials this July. We hope to send a Tyke team to the July 7 - 9 Provincials in Belleville/Trenton and a combination Novice/Atom team to the July 14 - 16 Provincials in Oshawa.

If anyone is interested in coaching or helping out, please send me your interest asap. Than we will have a coaching staff select a team.

The consetion booth won't be open at this point so Gayle, our treasurer is planning to set up a table to sell food and drinks.
