Canada managed to find a solution to shutting down the most prolific scorer in the tournament, USA's JR Lapointe (11G 3A in round-robin) in a 6:0 win. The Canadians also held in check his formidable fellow forwards Tyler Fletcher (11P) and Keith Barnaby (10P). Credit an all out team defence approach and a stellar netminding performance by Matthew Hall. The U20 Gold medal win added to the Canadians collection for the 2014 WJC.
