Titan Win 6th Consecutive Championship

Double up the Chief by 6-3 score

The Titans are officially a dynasty capturing their sixth consecutive Penetang & District Ball Hockey League Championship on Tuesday August 7th at the Penetanguishene arena with a 6 - 3 win over the up and coming Chiefs.

The Chiefs took an early 1-0 lead at 1:05 of the first period as Braedan Dorion knocked home a rebound of a Callan Heins shot, but the Titan tied the game just under a minute later as Myles York tipped home a Ryan Gieseler slap shot.  The Chiefs regained the lead when Josh Cousineau converted a Hayden Cole pass before the Titans Brandon Fransden scored on a snap shot off his own rebound with Tom Brown assisting to knot the score a two goal each midway into the first period.

York put the Titans up 3-2 with just under three minutes remaining in the first period on a slap shot from the slot and the Titans never looked back scoring three second period goals on their way to the win.  Gage Lafreniere scored twice, while Jacob Robitaille netted one marker for the Titans in the second period. Assists when to Mike Belanger, Matt Paul, York and Robitaille.  Dorion scored his second of the game on a Curtis Anderson pass for the Chiefs third goal.

The Titans: Matt Paul, Jacob Robitaille, Tyler McClure, Michael Belanger and Ryan Stewart are all members of the six time championship teams.  Completing the Titans roster are goalie Chris Vaillancourt, John O'Hara, Brandon Fransden, Tom Brown, Myles York, Ryan Gieseler, Gage Lafreniere, Brandon LeMesurier and Owen Bell.

In the Consolation Final the Roadrunners got past the Mighty Ducks by a 5 - 4 score as Michael Paul, Andrew Foley, Jake Dabrowski, Gavin Marion and Thomas St. Amant each scored single goals in the win.  Responding for the Ducks were Stephen Bell with two goals and Brady Barker and Aidan Robitaille with single tallies.

This concludes the 2018 season for the league.
