Titans and Mighty Ducks off to Final

The Titans and Mighty Ducks will meet in the Championship Final of the Penetang & District Ball Hockey League for the fourth consecutive year Friday August 12 at 8:40 pm at the Penetanguishene Arena. 

The Titans got past the Lasers on Monday August 8 by a 4 - 1 score as Matt Paul, Frankie Edgecombe, Ryan Stewart and Evan MacDonald each scored consecutive single goals to erase a 1 - 0 Lasers lead.  Matt Quilty scored the only Lasers goal midway into the first period.

In the other semi-final the Mighty Ducks edged the Roadrunners 3 - 2 as David Cote, Hayden Cole and Nick Gieseler each scored one goal.  The Ducks who trailed 1 - 0 early when Justin Gignac scored early in the first period for the Roadrunners responded with 3 goals in a row before Myles York scored with just 2:41 remaining in regulation time for the Roadrunners to make for an exciting final couple of minutes.

The Roadrunners and Lasers square off in the Consolation Final at 7:30 pm Friday.
